A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy Thursday everyone!

While I’m excited for the weekend to get here, weekends are going to be different without football. We still have plenty of other sports to sweat, but not ones that we plan our entire day around. The extra free time will be put to good use. I need to start running again, I need to get my golf game in shape, and I need to turn my spare room into a cold plunge room. I decided on the high-end cold plunge tub for my Onyx reward from DraftKings. I’ve only done the cold plunge once, so hopefully it’s something that I will actually use.

We have a light schedule on tap this evening. There are only 4 games on the schedule, but that doesn’t mean we are going to have a quiet Thursday. The list of players that are listed as questionable is absurd for such a small slate. Two teams are playing in the front end of a back-to-back (Pacers, Grizzlies) and one team is playing in the second half of a back-to-back (Cavaliers). Let’s get right to the team previews.

Team Previews

Los Angeles Lakers (at BOS): We kick off tonight’s 4-game slate with the Lakers, who have lost 5 of their last 10 games. They have struggled mightily on the road (7-17) and have to face the best team in the NBA. To make matters worse, this is a tough matchup for fantasy production. The Celtics are 4th in rebounding rate and 2nd in defensive rating. The Lakers come into the game as 11.5-point underdogs and have a team total that is 1.7 points below their season average. Stop me if you’ve read this before, but LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both listed as questionable. Davis sat out Tuesday’s game, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the injury report. If one is out, the other stands to benefit along with Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and several other players. With both superstars currently in the projections, Davis is the only player on the roster with a positive RGValue. We’ll take a wait-and-see approach until we get an update on LeBron and AD.
