A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy Thursday!

If you are reading this before 12:45 PM ET, you still have time to join golf leagues for The Sentry. We have a ton of great content up this week, and that will continue all season. After what felt like a packed NBA schedule every day over the last couple of weeks, there are only 2 games on the schedule this evening. If you are feeling the NBA burnout, this is a good slate to take off or to play a lot less volume than usual. One of the biggest lessons that I learned early in my DFS career is that it’s ok to take slates off.

Personally, I am going to be grinding every slate for the foreseeable future because I have been in a mini-slump in NBA DFS. It’s been a great season for my NFL play, and betting has been good, but I haven’t been able to crack the code in NBA DFS this season. The slow start gives me more motivation to improve my play moving forward. Now, let’s talk about tonight’s slate. With only 2 games on the schedule, we can afford to do more of a deep dive into the team previews.

Also, congrats to Jersey Jerry for finally getting his hole in one. The number of celebrities Tweeting encouragement to him was amazing.

Team Previews

Milwaukee Bucks (at SAS): The Bucks are playing in the second half of a back-to-back after losing to the Pacers last night. They are now 24-10 on the season with an 8-7 record on the road. Tonight, they travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs, who are 3rd in pace, 27th in rebounding rate, and 25th in defensive rating. The Bucks are sizable favorites here and have a team total that is 4.5 points above their season average.

Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both in great spots and have the two highest RGValues on the slate, but the salary cap is a big issue on this slate. Even prioritizing one of them hurts the look of the overall build. We are expecting Khris Middleton to sit, which does open up 30+ minutes in the rotation. Malik Beasley, Marjon Beauchamp, and Pat Connaughton are all viable lineup fillers here. Brook Lopez seems like a safe cash play, while Bobby Portis is worth a look in tournaments.
