Happy Thursday!
I don’t have any interesting life anecdotes for you and Darius Garland ended my NBA DFS slate last night, so let’s skip the niceties and jump right ahead to tonight’s slate. We have 7 games on the schedule, which is both a lucky number and a perfectly sized slate. We have 3 teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back (Bulls, Warriors, Kings) and two teams playing in the front end of a back-to-back (Wolves, Heat). We have a 7-game main slate on both FanDuel and DraftKings. Let’s get to it.

Team Previews
Brooklyn Nets (at DET): We kick off the slate with the Nets, who are 9-19 on the road this season. They have a good chance of picking up their 10th road win tonight as they square off against the struggling Pistons. This is an elite matchup for fantasy production, as Detroit is 10th in pace and 29th in defensive rating. The Nets are 2.5-point favorites and have a total that is surprisingly 3 points below their season average. Cam Johnson, Cam Thomas, and Ben Simmons have all been ruled out, while Lonnie Walker and Day’Ron Sharpe are listed as questionable. I see no reason not to go back to Dennis Schroder, who has averaged 35 minutes and 33 fantasy points in the last 3 games. If Walker is active, he’ll be one of the top values on the slate. If he’s out, even more minutes will open up on the wing. Dorian Finney-Smith should have a big role tonight, and we can always look to Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton in tournaments.
Detroit Pistons (vs. BKN): The Pistons have lost 9 of their last 10 games and need to continue their losing ways to keep up with the Wizards. Tonight they host the Nets, who are 24th in pace and 19th in defensive rating. The Pistons have a total of only 106.5 points, which is the lowest on the board and 5.6 points below their season average. Quentin Grimes has been ruled out, but everyone else should be available tonight. I’m not forcing any Pistons into lineups here. There isn’t a single player on the roster with a positive RGValue. We’ve seen some upside from Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren recently, but they are best suited as large-field tournament plays.
