NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Wednesday, December 6th
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
We’ve been spoiled with some great basketball games over the last couple of nights, but 2-game slates don’t quite have the same excitement when it comes to DFS. We are back at it on Wednesday with an 11-game slate. Given the fact that none of these teams have played since Saturday, they should be well rested and we shouldn’t have too many injuries to monitor throughout the course of the day.
My goal this month is to do as many Christmas activities as possible. My little one is not so little anymore. He turned 8 in October, and he’s my only kid. I’m worried this could be the last year that he truly believes in the magic of Christmas. I’m planning activities with friends, hosting family gatherings, taking him to an Elf musical, visiting any and all Christmas light shows, making sure he knows the importance of giving to those less fortunate, and hopefully getting him to watch all the classic Christmas movies.
It’s going to be a busy month, but one that he will hopefully remember. That’s really all we can do as parents right? Point them in the right direction in life and give them fond memories to look back on. Let’s all have a great month, both on the holiday front and the DFS front.
Now, let’s dive into tonight’s 11-game slate!

Team Previews
Orlando Magic (at CLE): We kick off the slate with the Magic, who draw a difficult matchup against the Cavaliers. This game projects to be played at a slow pace and Cleveland is ranked 8th in defensive rating. The Magic will be without Wendell Carter, Markelle Fultz, and Kevon Harris. They also have Jonathan Isaac listed as questionable. The Magic don’t project well in the context of tonight’s slate and even though we’ve seen upside from Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, this could be a team to cross off our list of potential targets.
Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. ORL): Even with the 3-day break, the Cavaliers will be short-handed once again. They have already ruled out Caris LeVert and Ty Jerome, and have listed Dean Wade as questionable. While the Magic have been tough defensively, the Cavaliers actually have a team total that is 3.2 points above their season average. Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland could be sneaky tournament plays this evening. Mitchell has slate-winning upside, and Garland is slightly underpriced with LeVert out of the lineup. They aren’t priorities, but they are strong tournament options.
