Happy Wednesday!

Fall break is already underway, so the kids are running amok while I’m finishing up my DFS content. Thanksgiving snuck up on us. It felt like we were waiting for Halloween forever, but the month of November has flown by. Whether you are traveling or staying home, stay safe tomorrow. I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

As for today, we have 9 NBA games on the schedule. There’s one early game that’s not included on the main slate for FanDuel or DraftKings. If you are interested in playing the Showdown slate, we have projections ready for you in LineupHQ. This article will focus on the 8-game main slate.

We don’t have any NBA games tomorrow, so let’s make tonight’s slate count.

Team Previews

Towns of the Knicks

New York Knicks (at CHA)

We kick off tonight’s main slate with the Knicks, who draw a slightly favorable matchup against the Hornets. The Knicks are 6.5-point favorites and have a team total that is 2 points higher than their season average. OG Anunoby and Landry Shamet are both still out.

Jalen Brunson has been a steady producer all season. He has topped 43 fantasy points in 4 of his last 5 games and leads the Knicks in usage (31%) this season. He rarely garners much ownership in DFS, but he’s viable in cash games and tournaments. Miles McBride started at shooting guard with Anunoby out the other night and logged 30 minutes, while Jordan Clarkson played 20 minutes off the bench. I’m not particularly interested in either player.

Miles Bridges (1.04 DK / 1.08 FD) and Josh Hart (1.04 DK / 1.01) should both push for minutes in the mid-30s. I’ll side with Bridges, as he is slightly better on a per-minute basis and has a higher minute projection. Karl-Anthony Towns has averaged 51 fantasy points with a usage rate of 28% over the last 3 games. The Hornets are a good rebounding team, but Towns has a good chance of posting another double-double.

Charlotte Hornets (vs. NYK)

The Hornets have a mediocre matchup against the Knicks, who are close to the league average in pace, defensive rating, and points allowed per game. The Hornets have a team total that is nearly identical to their season average. Josh Green and Grant Williams are still out, but everyone else should be available for the Hornets.

With the Hornets being one of the healthiest teams on the slate, they are one of the least appealing from a DFS standpoint. LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, and Kon Knueppel all project as poor RGValues. Ryan Kalkbrenner has a positive RGValue, but he has been held under 25 fantasy points in 6 of his last 7 games.
