Washington
The Wizards are 8 point underdogs tonight against the Warriors. While the Warriors play at a fast-pace, they make up for it with solid defense. The Warriors are ranked 12th or better at defending SG’s, SF’s, and Centers this season. They have struggled to defend PG’s and PF’s though and those are the two positions that you should target tonight:
- John Wall – Wall has topped 40 FP’s in 7 of his last 9 games and has a good chance of hitting that mark again tonight against the Warriors. Curry has never been known as a great defender and Wall is at his best in uptempo games. Look for Wall to fill up the stat sheet and to take over offensively in the second half.
- Nene Hilario – Nene has been one of the more frustrating fantasy players over the last few years. He has so much talent, but he is always hurt and often forgets to show up to the game. I like his upside though and I’ll be using him in a few different spots tonight.
Golden State
The Warriors have a favorable position against the Wizards tonight. The Wizards are so generous too, they make my job very easy. If you look at their DvP rankings, they have consistently defended SG’s, PF’s, and Centers well and have consistently struggled to defend PG’s and SF’s.
- Stephen Curry – Curry is on fire right now. He has scored over 55 fantasy points in 4 of his last 5 games. You want to take Curry when he is in the zone and that’s the case right now. Curry is a very competitive player as well and he will want to outplay John Wall.
- Andre Iguodala – Iguodala’s price has come down across the board, but he still has that same upside that he had earlier in the season. Iggy is still seeing around 35 minutes per game and should play well in an uptempo game against the Wizards.
Indiana at L.A.Lakers
- Vegas Line – Indiana -10, 204.5 Over/Under
- Indiana Proj. Starters – Hill-Stephenson-George-West-Hibbert
- L.A.Lakers Proj. Starters – Marshall-Meeks-Young-Kelly-Gasol
Indiana
The Pacers have the best matchup on the board. The Lakers are ranked 23rd or worse at defending every position on the floor. It’s hard to do, but the Lakers have managed to have straight blue rankings when it comes to DvP. Only the Sixers have been able to compete with that. All five starters are in play here, but there is the potential for a blowout.
L.A.Lakers
The Lakers are facing the league’s best defense. That doesn’t bode well for their individual fantasy values. The Pacers are ranked 6th or better at defending every position. You can take a flier on Pau Gasol or Kendall Marshall, but I will be avoiding the Lakers altogether tonight.
