Jabari Smith Over/Under 12.5 Points
Jabari Smith is as close to an enigma as exists in the modern NBA, but that creates betting value on him if someone can figure out what to expect from him on any given night. After scoring only 3 points in 19 minutes on Sunday against the Timberwolves, Smith rebounded for a strong 20-point showing on Tuesday against the Pacers in 40 minutes. The former 3rd overall draft pick is clearly still being given every opportunity to grow and develop for the Rockets despite his ups and downs. He enters play on Friday averaging 13.3 points per game this season and should be able to clear this market number if he sees 30+ minutes this evening.

Tyrese Maxey Over/Under 7.5 Assists
In 4 games since Joel Embiid last played for the 76ers, Tyrese Maxey is averaging only 4.0 assists and 6.8 potential assists. The Philadelphia offense has struggled overall during that stretch, ranking 21st in offensive efficiency. Though a matchup with the defensively-challenged Hawks seems to be a recipe to get back on track, there simply has not been enough fluidity in the 76ers’ new-look offense to justify a market number this high for Maxey in the assist department. Even counting games that Embiid played, Maxey is only 17 for 46 to the over at this market number. The math favors the under in this spot.

LeBron James Over/Under 26.5 Points
People say Father Time is undefeated, but that is factually incorrect on one count. The one exception has to do with Tom Brady, however, not LeBron James. James has continued to play at a high level at his advanced age, but he has certainly fallen off a notch in the last few seasons, notably on back-to-back sets this year. In six games playing on zero days rest this season, James has scored 21 points or fewer three times and he has only twice eclipsed this market number. Making matters more difficult, the Pelicans rank in the top half of the league in defensive rating across the last 30 days, and they have been particularly strong defending forwards. The under makes a lot of sense here.
