NBA Player Props Today – Monday, January 13, 2025

Stephen Curry UNDER 4.5 Three-Pointers Made (+100, BetMGM)

Toronto’s perimeter defense is among the worst in the entire NBA, but this is simply too good of a price to pass up on this line. Entering play, Stephen Curry has gone under this number in 12 of 15 road games this year. Curry is shooting only 35% from deep on the road compared to 46.9% from deep at home.

The Raptors have allowed the league’s highest success rate to opposing guards on 3-point attempts across their last 8 contests, so there is definitely risk. However, there have been legitimate signs of aging for Curry in his age-36 campaign, making it unreasonable to expect him to make 5+ shots from beyond the arc in any scenario. For reference, there are only 3 players in the entire NBA this year averaging more than 4 made shots from deep per game. This is a tall number regardless of the matchup.

James Harden OVER 7.5 Assists (-115, DraftKings)

James Harden has played only 2 games with Kawhi Leonard this season, but the early returns indicate that he plans to be much more of a facilitator now that his co-star is back healthy. Harden had 15 assists and 23 potential assists in his first game with Leonard in a favorable matchup against the Hawks. Two nights later, Harden had 8 assists and 12 potential assists in a much more difficult matchup against the Timberwolves.

Tonight, Harden gets another tough matchup against a Miami defense that has done a good job limiting assists from opposing guards of late. Still, this is a playable number any time Leonard is healthy.

Chris Paul UNDER 8.5 Assists (-135, Bet365)

This season, Chris Paul has gone under this number in 10 of 17 road games and has only 2 games with more than 15 potential assists in his last 10 road contests. On Monday, he has a tough task in front of him, facing a Lakers defense that has allowed the 8th-fewest assists per game to point guards across their last 8 games. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Paul struggle to generate a high number of assists with a lack of capable shot makers around him and playing on the road. The math favors the under.
