Monday’s 7-game NBA slate features some rare afternoon action, with the Pacers and Hawks scheduled for a 1:30 PM ET tip-off, in addition to the 76ers and Hornets playing at 3:00 PM ET. 3 of tonight’s 5 games will be on Peacock, giving basketball fans plenty of ways to watch some hoops to start the new week.
Of course, there are still some big names on today’s NBA injury report. Ja Morant, Jimmy Butler, and Joel Embiid have already been ruled out. Stephen Curry and Deni Avdija are both questionable as of this writing.
As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Monday, January 26th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 1:30 PM ET on Monday, January 26th:
- Andre Drummond Over/Under 7.5 Points
- LeBron James Over/Under 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
- Stephen Curry Over/Under 5.5 Assists
Andre Drummond OVER 7.5 Points (-105, bet365)
Drummond will take the occasional 3-point attempt, but the vast majority of his looks at the basket come in the restricted area. In January, Charlotte has allowed the 3rd-highest FG% in the league on attempts in the restricted area (and the 2nd highest to the center position).
Drummond’s playing time has dwindled as the season has progressed, which is a risk here, but there should be some opportunities for him to secure a few easy buckets in this matchup.
LeBron James OVER 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110, BetMGM)
LeBron scored only 17 points on Saturday against the Mavericks, but he didn’t attempt a single free throw – the first time that has happened since December 4th and only the second time that’s happened all season. Still, he collected 8 rebounds and 5 assists. During January, LeBron is averaging a healthy 7.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game, which are supported by strong advanced metrics.
Tonight, he draws a favorable matchup against Chicago – a team that ranks around league average in pace and defensive rating. LeBron should have plenty of opportunities to fill up the stat sheet to begin the new week.
Stephen Curry UNDER 5.5 Assists (-112, bet365)
According to CourtIQ, Curry is averaging only 5.2 assists per 30 minutes this season with Jimmy Butler off of the floor. In 4 games with Butler unavailable, Curry has gone under this number in 3 of the games and did not have a game with more than 9 potential assists.
The Timberwolves aren’t the most prohibitive matchup in terms of allowing assists to guards, but this is the second consecutive game that these two teams will play against one another. That should lead to some net positive defensive adjustments from the Timberwolves.
This is also a road game for the Warriors, and Curry isn’t surrounded by the most capable shot-makers in the NBA, so even a high volume of potential assists might not be enough for Curry to get to 6 assists.
