Monday’s NBA slate features 9 games, the first beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET. Some of the league’s best and brightest stars are scheduled to be in action this evening, including Donovan Mitchell, Victor Wembanyama, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, which should lead to an entertaining night of hoops around the Association.

As always, be sure to keep an eye on the NBA injury report ahead of tip-off. Anthony Davis, Jalen Johnson, and Ausar Thompson are a few big names currently listed as questionable. Their availability (or lack thereof) could have a significant impact on the usage of their teammates.

Norman Powell UNDER 22.5 Points (-115, bet365)

This season, Powell is averaging 23.3 points and 15.0 field goal attempts per game. He’s shooting a career-best 46.2% from the 3-point line and averaging a career-high 7.1 free throw attempts per contest.

Tonight, Powell could have a difficult time meeting his season averages. Nearly 10 of his 15 field goal attempts per game are coming from the restricted area and above-the-break – two areas of the floor that the Cavaliers defend well.

The Cavaliers struggle to defend without fouling, but they should make life difficult on Powell’s shooting from the floor this evening. Powell is also due for at least some regression in terms of 3-point efficiency. This could be a good time to sell high after 5 consecutive games of 21+ points.

Keyonte George UNDER 21.5 Points (-118, BetMGM)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONBETMGM

George had 18 points in only 26 minutes against the Timberwolves in a blowout on Friday, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see his efficiency take a hit in the rematch this evening. Earlier this season, George played the Suns twice in the span of a week, shooting only 30% from the floor in the rematch.

The Timberwolves do a good job limiting field goal attempts in the paint by opposing guards, which is where George has made most of his living this season. If George can’t exploit that area of the floor, he would likely need a high rate of trips to the line this evening given that he doesn’t attempt many shots from beyond the arc. But Minnesota isn’t a team that fouls at an alarming rate.

George hasn’t scored more than 18 points in any game this season in which he’s attempted fewer than 7 free throws. The under could have some value.

Evan Mobley OVER 18.5 Points (-128, FanDuel)

When the Cavaliers hired Kenny Atkinson, one of the key points in their coaching search was finding someone who would be able to unlock the next step in the development of Mobley. In his first year playing under Atkinson, Mobley saw his scoring increase by 2.8 points per game. Through 10 games this year, Mobley is averaging a career-high 20.0 points per night.

Mobley makes a killing around the rim, which is an area of the floor Miami has struggled to defend early this season. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Mobley have another strong scoring output.
