NBA Player Props Today – Sunday, November 12

Mark Williams Over/Under 21.5 Points + Rebounds

Mark Williams is coming off of a monster 21-point, 24-rebound performance against the Washington Wizards on Friday, but he is likely to have a much more difficult time on Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden. Williams is averaging 8.5 field goal attempts per game this season, 7.0 of which are coming inside the restricted area. The New York Knicks have allowed the seventh-fewest field goal attempts inside the restricted area of any team in the NBA this season. According to props.cash, six of the last seven centers to have a points prop released against the Knicks have gone under that market number. The Knicks also lead the league in rebound percentage, which makes this a tough matchup on the glass for Williams. Six of the last seven centers to have a rebound prop released against New York have gone under that market number. Williams is a strong candidate for negative regression in this spot, making the under on this combination prop a worthwhile risk.

Michael Porter Over/Under 1.5 Assists

Michael Porter has eclipsed this market number in seven of his first nine games played this year, but he is likely due for regression in the assists department judging by his role in the Denver Nuggets offense. In three road games this season, Porter is averaging only 2.0 potential assists per game, which gives him very thin margins with this market number at over/under 1.5. The Houston Rockets have played surprisingly well to begin the new season, ranking seventh in defensive efficiency while allowing the fewest opponent assists per game of any team in the league. According to props.cash, each of the last four small forwards to have an assists prop released against the Rockets has gone under that market number. It would not be surprising to see that trend continue on Sunday.

Kevin Durant More/Less Than 3.5 Turnovers

Kevin Durant has been uncharacteristically careless with the basketball to begin the new campaign, averaging a career-worst 4.2 turnovers per game. Sunday could be a good opportunity for him to bring that ghastly number down, facing an Oklahoma City Thunder defense that is near the league average in forcing opponent turnovers this year. Durant also has favorable splits in this matchup, averaging only 3.5 turnovers per game at home compared to 4.8 turnovers per game on the road this season. Durant is likely to begin cutting down on his mistakes sooner rather than later, and perhaps as soon as today.
