NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, April 2, 2024

Jarrett Allen Over/Under 31.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out tonight for the Cavaliers, but it’s unclear how exactly that benefits Jarrett Allen – if at all. Since Darius Garland returned to playing 30+ minutes in mid-February, Allen is averaging 19.0 points and 12.4 rebounds per 36 minutes of action with Mitchell off of the floor, but he’s averaging only 18.7 points and 9.9 rebounds per 36 minutes in such situations since reintroducing a healthy Evan Mobley to the equation at the beginning of March. The math says we have some margin for error here. We will live with the results.

Darius Garland Over/Under 18.5 Points

Darius Garland has some negative road splits to be mindful of here, but he’s likely to benefit the most from the absence of Donovan Mitchell. According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Garland is averaging 20.5 points per 36 minutes of action with Mitchell off of the floor. After playing only 29 minutes on Sunday in a blowout loss against the Nuggets, Garland should have fresh legs in this spot against a Utah team that has really struggled to defend the perimeter since the All-Star Break. Overall, the Jazz rank 30th in defensive rating, 23rd in opponent 3-point attempts allowed per game, 30th in opponent 3-point percentage, and 9th in pace during that stretch. This is a worthwhile risk in a game that Cleveland desperately needs to win for seeding purposes.

Keegan Murray Over/Under 17.5 Points

Keegan Murray had 25 points on Sunday against the Jazz, but he gets a much tougher matchup this evening against the Clippers. The Clippers have done a pretty good job defending opposing forwards of late, holding Paolo Banchero under his market number for points last week and holding 6 of the last 11 power forwards under their market number for points. This is a simple case of fading a player coming off of an over-performance.
