NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, December 12, 2023

Darius Garland Over/Under 21.5 Points

Darius Garland scored 36 points last night against the Magic, but it took him 23 shot attempts and he played 39 minutes in the loss. Even after including last night’s outlier performance, Garland is still only averaging 20.8 points per game in 34.8 minutes of action in nine road contests this year. Those averages also include a game from late November in which Garland scored 32 points with Donovan Mitchell out of the lineup. Suffice it to say, it is more probable than not that Garland scores fewer than 22 points in any individual road game. Factor in that the Celtics rank 9th in the NBA in defensive efficiency across the last month and that Garland is playing on zero days rest – it is easy to see a path to the under cashing in this spot.

Devin Booker Over/Under 30.5 Points

According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Devin Booker is averaging 31.3 points per 36 minutes of action this season with Kevin Durant off of the floor. This season, Booker has played three games without Durant in the lineup, scoring 40 points, 28 points, and 28 points. In a favorable matchup against a Golden State team that struggles to defend without fouling, Booker should have every opportunity to eclipse this market number on Tuesday.

Stephen Curry Over/Under 38.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Across the last month of action, Phoenix has been one of the best perimeter defenses in the NBA, allowing the 7th-fewest three-point shot attempts per game and holding their opponents to the 3rd-lowest success rate on such attempts. Phoenix has also allowed the 6th-fewest opponent rebounds per game and the 5th-fewest opponent assists per game during that stretch, making them a tough all-around matchup for opponents. Curry is likely to have a difficult time eclipsing this market number tonight.
