Tuesday’s NBA slate features four games, beginning at 7:30 PM ET with the return of Ja Morant. Morant and the Grizzlies will travel to the Big Easy to play Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans to begin tonight’s TNT doubleheader, followed by a matchup between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors at 10:00 PM ET.

Ja Morant Over/Under 37.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Tonight, Ja Morant will make his long-awaited return to the floor, but bettors should temper their expectations for him in his first action of the season. Morant has been practicing with his team during his suspension, but he has a difficult matchup in his first live action of the year. Across the last month, the Pelicans rank 5th in the NBA in defensive efficiency on their home floor. Playing in front of their home fans during that stretch, New Orleans also leads the NBA in rebound percentage, has allowed the 2nd-fewest opponent rebounds per game, and has been roughly league average in terms of opponent assists and opponent free throw attempts.
Morant scored more than 25 points in only 14 of his 30 road games last year during the regular season and had fewer than 6 rebounds in 20 of those 30 contests. Even if he plays 35 minutes tonight, Morant is unlikely to have elite numbers across the board, making the under a worthwhile look on Tuesday.

Zach Collins Over/Under 23.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
In his lone game played without Victor Wembanyama this season, Zach Collins tallied 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Though that is obviously under today’s market number, it is worth noting that he went 3-for-11 from the field in that game against a Pelicans team that is among the best in the NBA defending around the rim. This evening, Collins gets a much more favorable matchup against a Bucks defense that ranks 22nd in opponent field goal attempts and 12th in opponent field goal percentage in the restricted area across the last month. Milwaukee has also allowed the most opponent field goal attempts per game in the paint during that stretch while ranking 19th in opponent success rate on such shots. Collins should have every opportunity to get the job done for us here.

Devin Vassell Over/Under 27.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
According to CourtIQ, Devin Vassell sees the largest increase in usage of any player on the Spurs roster when Victor Wembanyama is off of the floor. In such situations, he is averaging 21.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per 27 minutes of action – which is how many minutes Vassell played on December 1st when Wembanyama sat. However, there is reason to believe that Vassell is in store for even more minutes this evening, considering that he has played at least 30 minutes in each of his last 6 games. The Bucks have been mediocre defensively during the last month, ranking 17th in efficiency and 23rd in opponent free throw attempts per game. Even if Vassell does not have his most efficient game, he should be competitive at this market number this evening.
