NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, December 31, 2024

Victor Wembanyama UNDER 11.5 Rebounds (-130, DraftKings)

Victor Wembanyama is one of the most talented players in the entire NBA, but this is still a high number for him on the glass. Entering play, Wembanyama has gone under 12 rebounds in 18 of 27 games this season, including 13 of his last 20 contests and 9 of 14 home games.

Wembanyama has posted 15 rebound chances or fewer in 5 of his last 10 games and has a tough matchup today against a Clippers team that has been better than the league average at limiting rebounds to opposing centers. The math favors the under here.

Jaden McDaniels OVER 3.5 Rebounds (-145, BetMGM)

This line simply doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. McDaniels enters play averaging 4.5 rebounds and 8.8 rebound chances per game this season. He’s been even more active on the glass of late, averaging 5.8 rebounds and 9.2 rebound chances per game in December.

McDaniels gets a palatable matchup against an Oklahoma City team that has allowed the 2nd-most rebounds per game this season. He has recorded 4+ rebounds in 13 of the last 15 games in which he’s played 25+ minutes. He’s had 8+ rebound chances in 16 of his last 17 such games. If McDaniels stays out of foul trouble, he should have every opportunity to get the job done here.

Desmond Bane UNDER 27.5 Points + Assists (-120, Bet365)

According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Desmond Bane is averaging 25.5 points + assists per 36 minutes this season with Ja Morant off of the floor. Even those numbers are potentially inflated due to Bane converting a likely unsustainable number of potential assists to actual assists. This season, Bane has scored 18 points or fewer in 5 of 9 games played without Morant. He’s posted 5 assists or fewer in 5 of 9 games that Morant has missed. Phoenix isn’t a defensive juggernaut, but they should be able to keep Bane under this market number on Tuesday evening.
