Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday, December 10th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM ET on Wednesday, December 10th:
- Chet Holmgren Over/Under 17.5 Points
- Alex Caruso Over/Under 4.5 Points
- Marcus Smart Over/Under 2.5 Rebounds + Assists
Chet Holmgren OVER 17.5 Points (-115, BetMGM)
Holmgren has played 5 games without Isaiah Hartenstein this season, clearing this number in 4 of those games. Even more notable, he’s cleared this number 3 times in 4 games when playing 30 minutes or fewer.
Tonight, it stands to reason that Holmgren could see slightly more playing time given the added incentive of the NBA Cup. According to CourtIQ, Holmgren is averaging 18.6 points per 30 minutes with Hartenstein off of the floor this season. If he sees closer to 35 minutes in this game, he should have plenty of volume to justify the risk.
Alex Caruso OVER 4.5 Points (-130, bet365)
Caruso isn’t a prolific scorer by any means, but this is still an extremely low number for him. Caruso has scored 5+ points in 10 of his 15 games this season, including 7 of 10 home games.
According to CourtIQ, Caruso is averaging 7.5 points per 24 minutes with Hartenstein off of the floor this season (in a limited sample size). Throughout his career, Caruso has consistently shot the ball better on his home floor. He should be good for a couple of buckets tonight.
Marcus Smart OVER 2.5 Rebounds + Assists (-115, bet365)
Smart has played 3 games with both Luka Doncic and LeBron James active this season – he had 4+ rebounds & assists in 2 of those 3 games. Notably, he had 3 potential assists against the Clippers in his most recent matchup. He has had as many as 5 rebound chances in those 3 games too.
In what should be a playoff-like atmosphere tonight, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Smart push for 20 minutes. There is good value for him at such a low number here.
