NBA Player Props Today – Wednesday, May 8, 2024

Jalen Brunson Over/Under 37.5 Points
Pascal Siakam Over/Under 19.5 Points
OG Anunoby Over/Under 16.5 Points

Jalen Brunson Over/Under 37.5 Points

Brunson has been magnificent during these playoffs, but this is still a tall market number for any player in any situation. Brunson scored 43 points on Monday, but he shot 53.8% from the field, 100% from the free throw line (on 14 attempts), and the Knicks scored 121 points.

Tonight, New York’s implied team total is 111.5. Indiana also has an entire game of tape on Brunson now, which should help them force someone else to beat them in Game 2. The Knicks are also at home in this contest, which should mean greater contributions from role players, who perform better at home than they do on the road.

Brunson could have an outstanding showing this evening and still fall short of this market number.

Pascal Siakam Over/Under 19.5 Points

Siakam scored only 19 points in Game 1 of this series, but he took 16 shot attempts, which tied for the team lead. Siakam also played 37 minutes, which was more than any other member of the Pacers’ roster.

Simply, with Tyrese Haliburton struggling offensively, the Pacers need another player to step up in that department. Siakam has already proven himself capable of producing at a high level during these playoffs, with multiple games of 36+ points.

He is well-positioned for a strong showing in Game 2 at Madison Square Garden.

OG Anunoby Over/Under 16.5 Points

Anunoby averaged only 15 points per game during New York’s opening round series against Philadelphia and had only 13 points in Game 1 against Indiana. He has been given plenty of volume from the field, but he rarely gets to the foul line, which gives him less margin for error at this market number on a nightly basis. One of the best defenders in the league, Anunoby has his focus mainly on the defensive end of the floor, with his offensive contributions seen as a bonus. Don’t be surprised if he has a relatively quiet scoring night on Wednesday.
