NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Thursday (2/13)

Dinwiddie of the Mavericks

I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.

Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.

We have 5 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 2/13. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Thursday evening.

First… Sign Up to Make NBA PrizePicks Picks

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Heat vs. Mavericks NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Heat vs. Mavericks NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Spencer Dinwiddie Less Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds

We project him at 11.73 Points + Rebounds, which is significantly below the mark set by PrizePicks. Additionally, our simulations show this pick has an 8.1% edge and a 65.8% win probability, making it a statistically favorable choice.

This doesn’t stand out as a good matchup for Dinwiddie as the Heat rank 10th in defensive rating.

Clippers vs. Jazz NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Clippers vs. Jazz NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Norman Powell More Than 23.5 Points

We project him at 27.88 points, significantly above the threshold, and our simulations show this pick has a 5.1% edge with a 62.8% win probability.

The absence of Kawhi Leonard frees up a ton of usage on offense, and our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool has this as one of the best matchups on the board.

James Harden More Than 22.5 Points

We project him at 26.38 points, which is well above the projection set by PrizePicks, and our simulations show this pick has a 4.1% edge with a 61.9% win probability.

With Kawhi Leonard resting tonight, Harden is expected to take on a larger offensive role. This should be a good spot for Harden as the Jazz rank 29th in defensive rating.
