NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Thursday (2/6)

Caldwell-Pope of the Magic

I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.

Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.

We have 6 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 2/6. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Thursday evening.

First… Sign Up to Make NBA PrizePicks Picks

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Magic vs. Nuggets NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Magic vs. Nuggets NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Less Than 3.5 Rebounds + Assists

This season, Caldwell-Pope is averaging 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, totaling 3.8 combined. However, we project him at just 2.61 rebounds + assists for tonight, significantly below the 3.5 line. Our simulations also show a 7.1% edge for this pick. With limited opportunities in a lineup featuring Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, Caldwell-Pope’s role is diminished, making this a sound choice.

Kings vs. Trail Blazers NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Kings vs. Trail Blazers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Deandre Ayton Less Than 13.5 Rebounds + Assists

We project him at 12.23 rebounds + assists, which is well below the 13.5 mark. Our simulations also show a 5.5% edge and a 63.2% win percentage for this pick. Ayton has averaged 14.6 rebounds + assists over the season but has been inconsistent, hitting less than 13.5 in 62.2% of his last 37 games.

Our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool has this as one of the worst matchups on the night.

Pacers vs. Clippers NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Pacers vs. Clippers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Ben Sheppard Less Than 7.5 Points + Rebounds

We project him at 6.2 points + rebounds, which is significantly below the 7.5 set by PrizePicks. Our simulations also show a 4.1% edge and a 61.8% win percentage for this pick. Sheppard averages 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game this season, but his limited role (20.5 minutes per game; we have him projected for 18) and inconsistent production make it unlikely he exceeds this mark. Additionally, the Clippers have a solid defense, ranking 2nd in defensive rating.
