NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Tuesday (1/28)

Green of the Rockets

I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.

Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.

We have 4 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/28. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Tuesday evening.

First… Sign Up to Make NBA PrizePicks Picks

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Rockets vs. Hawks NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Rockets vs. Hawks NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Jalen Green Less Than 4.5 Rebounds

Green achieving less than 4.5 rebounds tonight is a solid pick. We project him at 3.85 rebounds, with simulations showing a 3.56% edge and a 61.29% hit rate.

Green’s rebounding opportunities have declined since Amen Thompson became a starter, as Green now averages just 3.8 rebounds on 6.8 chances per game. His rebounding rate has dropped by 0.6%, and Thompson’s dominance on the glass (11.5 rebounds per game) further limits Green’s chances.

With these factors in play, Green is unlikely to exceed 4.5 rebounds tonight.

Bucks vs. Trail Blazers NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Bucks vs. Trail Blazers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Brook Lopez More Than 1.5 Assists

Lopez achieving more than 1.5 assists tonight is a solid choice. We project him at 2.47 assists, with simulations showing a 3.29% edge and a 61.02% hit rate.

Over his last 10 games, Lopez has averaged 1.9 assists, including games with 3 assists each against Philadelphia and New York and a whopping 5 assists against Toronto back on January 17th. If Giannis Antetokounmpo is limited at all on the back-to-back, Lopez may take on some more playmaking duties. His consistent minutes and role in the Bucks’ offense make this a strong pick for tonight’s game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo More Than 31.5 Points

Antetokounmpo scoring more than 31.5 points tonight is a great pick. We project him at 34.76 points, with simulations showing a 2.75% edge and a 60.48% hit rate.

Over his last 10 games, Giannis has averaged 31.4 points, including 35 and 36 points in his last 2 games. Against Portland’s 26th-ranked defense, he’s in a prime position to excel. His ability to dominate weaker interior defenses makes this a high-value play for tonight’s game.
