NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Wednesday (2/5)
I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.
Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.
We have 11 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 2/5. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Wednesday evening.
First… Sign Up to Make NBA PrizePicks Picks
If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.
I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Bulls vs. Timberwolves NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Bulls vs. Timberwolves NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Nikola Vucevic Less Than 29.5 Points + Rebounds
We’re projecting him at 25.64 Points + Rebounds and our simulations show an 8% edge with a 65.7% hit rate. Despite his strong season, he could struggle against defensively sound teams like the Miami Heat. The Heat have improved defensively, particularly against centers, which could limit Vucevic’s production.
The Heat rank 10th in defensive rating, and they’re one of the worst matchups for centers in our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.
Wizards vs. Nets NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Wizards vs. Nets NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Jonas Valanciunas Less Than 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
We project him at 27.45 Points + Rebounds + Assists, nearly 2 points below PrizePicks’ mark, and our simulations show a 7.1% edge with a 64.8% hit rate. The Nets aren’t too imposing defensively (22nd in defensie rating), but it is a below-average matchups for centers when you look at our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.
Richaun Holmes More Than 5.5 Points
We project him at 7.73 Points, 2 points above the threshold, and our simulations show a 5.3% edge with a 63.1% hit rate. Holmes has been efficient in limited minutes, often converting high-percentage opportunities near the rim. His matchup tonight could offer additional scoring chances, and we have him projected for around 18 minutes.
