NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Wednesday (1/22)

Murray of the Kings

I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.

Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.

We have 8 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/22. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Wednesday evening.

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Warriors vs. Kings NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Warriors vs. Kings NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Keegan Murray Less Than 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

RotoGrinders projects him at 17.72 PRA, which is significantly below the 20.5 projection. This projection aligns with his recent performance trends. Over his last 20 games, Murray has averaged just 10.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, totaling 19.6 PRA. In his last 10 games, his PRA average has dropped to 18.5.

Our simulations show this pick has a 5.44% edge and a 63.17% hit rate, indicating a strong likelihood of success. Murray’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors also supports this pick. He has one of the worst matchups on the board, according to our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.

Jazz vs. Thunder NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Jazz vs. Thunder NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Lauri Markkanen Less Than 5.5 Rebounds

RotoGrinders projects him at 4.63 rebounds, which is well below the 5.5 projection. This projection aligns with his recent performance trends. Over his last 10 games, Markkanen has averaged 5.0 rebounds, hitting less than 5.5 in 60% of those games. His last 5 games show an even sharper decline, with an average of 5.0 rebounds and a hit rate of just 20% for more than 5.5 rebounds.

Our simulations show this pick has a 5.15% edge and a 62.89% hit rate, further supporting the likelihood of success. The Oklahoma City Thunder, his opponent tonight, rank as a tough rebounding matchup when you look at our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.

Hornets vs. Grizzlies NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Hornets vs. Grizzlies NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Josh Green More Than 8.5 Points + Rebounds

RotoGrinders projects him at 11.17 Points + Rebounds, which is comfortably above the 8.5 projection. This projection aligns with his recent performances, where he has averaged 9.8 Points + Rebounds over his last 10 games. Notably, Green has exceeded 8.5 Points + Rebounds in 6 of his last 10 games.

Our simulations show this pick has a 3.98% edge and a 61.72% hit rate. Green’s role in the Dallas Mavericks’ rotation has been steady, with him averaging 28.2 minutes per game this season. His ability to contribute both offensively and on the boards makes him a reliable option to surpass this line. This is also one of the best matchups for Green when you look at our Defense vs. Archetypes Tool.
