NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Wednesday (1/29)

Moody of the Warriors

I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.

Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.

We have 11 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/29. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Wednesday evening.

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Thunder vs. Warriors NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Thunder vs. Warriors NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Moses Moody Less Than 16.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Moody achieving less than 16.5 PRA is a strong pick for several reasons. For one, we project him at 14.01 PRA, which is significantly below the PrizePicks projection. Additionally, our simulations show this pick has a 4.96% edge and a 62.7% hit rate, indicating a high probability of success.

Moody has averaged just 8.6 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game this season, which totals 11.8 PRA on average. Even with Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga still out, this PrizePicks projection appears a tad inflated.

Clippers vs. Spurs NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Clippers vs. Spurs NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Derrick Jones Jr. Less Than 11.5 Points + Assists

Jones achieving less than 11.5 points + assists is a strong pick based on several factors. To begin with, we project him at 9.52 points + assists, which is well below this threshold. Our simulations also show this pick has an 8.49% edge and a 66.23% hit rate, indicating a high probability of success.

Over his last 10 games, Jones has averaged just 12.2 points and 0.5 assists, which totals 12.7 points + assists. With limited offensive involvement and a supporting role in the Clippers’ rotation, this PrizePicks projection also appears inflated, making it a statistically sound choice.

Nets vs. Hornets NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Nets vs. Hornets NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Jalen Wilson Less Than 17.5 Points + Rebounds

Wilson getting less than 17.5 points + rebounds is also looking like a good pick. We project him at 15.48 points + rebounds, which is notably below the PrizePicks projection. Our simulations also show this pick has a 5.55% edge and a 63.29% hit rate, indicating a solid probability of success.

Over his last 10 games, Wilson has averaged 14.2 points + rebounds, which further supports this pick. Additionally, the Nets are dealing with significant injuries, which could limit their offensive efficiency, and that could reduce Wilson’s opportunities to exceed this mark.
