NBA Underdog Fantasy Player Predictions for Tuesday (11/19)

Collins of the Spurs

I’m here to give you a (free!) peek behind the curtain regarding some of the awesome things our NBA DFS projections team is cooking up by giving you my top picks for today’s NBA slate on Underdog Fantasy. Every single pick you will find below is going to be based on what our projections say is a meaningful edge, and I will then use my basketball and analytical background to try to pinpoint the very best of the best. Please keep in mind that the NBA news cycle can get crazy, so what is listed below may become a better/worse play depending on how that news breaks. You can always stay up to date on exactly what a team’s rotation and depth chart will look like on a given day by heading to our NBA starting lineups page.

We have 6 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 11/19. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on Underdog this Tuesday evening.

Underdog Fantasy – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Underdog Fantasy Top NBA Picks for 11/19

Now that you’re signed up, here are some of our top NBA picks on Underdog for 11/19 at a glance:

Jazz vs. Lakers NBA Underdog Fantasy Predictions

Here are the Jazz vs. Lakers NBA Underdog Fantasy predictions for tonight:

Keyonte George Higher Than 12.5 Points

George is averaging 14.7 points per game this season on 31.9 minutes per game, compared to 13 points in 27 minutes per game last season. The Lakers rank 25th in defensive rating, allowing 116.9 points per 100 possessions, so the matchup, on paper, should lead to more efficiency.

In fact, George’s true shooting percentage this season (48.8%) has actually been much lower than it was last season (53.3%), so it’s encouraging to see him still averaging a few more points per game due to his increased minutes. And if the matchup does in fact lead to more efficiency, he should surpass this number rather easily tonight.

Thunder vs. Spurs NBA Underdog Fantasy Predictions

Here are the Thunder vs. Spurs NBA Underdog Fantasy predictions for tonight:

Zach Collins Lower Than 7.5 Rebounds

This is a great example of why access to our fantasy pick’em tool (linked above) is so key. Victor Wembanyama is doubtful to play tonight, so we gotta expect Collins to get at least 8 boards, right?? Not according to our projections!

In 193 minutes with Wemby off the floor this season, Collins has averaged 8.55 rebounds per 36 minutes. However, since we are only projecting him for 26 minutes tonight, we like him to stay below 8 rebounds.

Hornets vs. Nets NBA Underdog Fantasy Predictions

Here are the Hornets vs. Nets NBA Underdog Fantasy predictions for tonight:

Dorian Finney-Smith Higher Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds

Finney-Smith is averaging 10.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this season. That alone puts him above this Underdog projection. He’s consistently playing around 29 minutes per game, and his minutes floor should be quite safe with Nic Claxton, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Day’Ron Sharpe all still out.

The Hornets defense has again been struggling, ranking 20th in defensive rating this season after being an abysmal 29th last season. Given Finney-Smith’s expected production and the favorable matchup, I would be pretty surprised if he doesn’t top this number for us.
