NFL DFS Showdown Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday Night Football (Jets vs. 49ers)

Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?

Notorious: Jordan Mason, Deebo Samuel, Breece Hall
headChopper: Deebo Samuel, Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson
ncorfield8k: Breece Hall, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle
Davis Mattek: Deebo Samuel, Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson

What is your favorite game-script build and why?

Notorious: Even though this game has a spread of only 3.5 points, there are plenty of paths for this to turn into a Niners blowout. Aaron Rodgers has played only a few snaps in actual games the last couple of years, Nate Hackett is still calling plays for the Jets, and the Niners are a great front-running team. If they are able to build a lead early, Nick Bosa and company will be able to attack Rodgers on obvious passing downs. This is the first primetime Showdown slate of the season where I will be building full onslaught stacks (only 1 player from the Jets).

headChopper: This feels like a defensive battle to me. The Jets defense should be elite this season, and the 49ers are always strong on that side of the ball. Brock Purdy has struggled against elite defenses at times, and after watching Kirk Cousins look terribly immobile yesterday, I worry about Aaron Rodgers too. The skill players on both teams are incredible, but the QBs could have a rough day.

ncorfield8k: A low-scoring game where quarterbacks don’t make the optimal. Given the scoring dynamics on both sites, it is easier for position players to score a lot of fantasy points without touchdowns than it is for quarterbacks. So I like playing the game as though not many touchdowns will be scored due the both teams playing slowly and the defenses being elite. Builds without any quarterbacks look better than usual on this slate.

Davis Mattek: The 49ers run the Jets out of the building. We saw how terrible Kirk Cousins looked coming back from his Achilles injury yesterday. The 49ers have studs everywhere on defense and got Brandon Aiyuk back just in the nick of time. Brock Purdy does struggle against elite defenses, so I could see this one shifting lower scoring, but if the field is going to be hard on Breece Hall / Garrett Wilson/ Aaron Rodgers, I like going the other way.

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
