NFL DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Monday Night Football Picks

DraftKings

Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?

Notorious: Bijan Robinson, Tyler Shough, Chris Olave
headChopper: Bijan Robinson, Chris Olave, Drake London
ncorfield8k: Bijan Robinson, Chris Olave, Drake London
Davis Mattek: Bijan Robinson, Tyler Shough, Drake London

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: The tricky part of tonight’s slate is that there are a lot of superstars and a serious lack of value. These are two of the most concentrated offenses in the NFL. The Falcons production mostly comes from Michael Penix Jr., Bijan Robinson, and Drake London, while the Saints production mostly comes from Tyler Shough, Chris Olave, Devaughn Vele, and Juwan Johnson. I don’t have a super strong take on how to get different, but I will be fading the Saints running back situation with Travis Etienne Jr. out, and I will be fading both of the defenses. In small-field tournaments, I’m not too worried about ownership.

headChopper: I’m feeling a higher-scoring game with the stars showing out. New Orleans ranks 32nd in rush DVOA and has allowed a 57.9% rush success rate, 15.3% explosive runs, and 2.74 yards before contact per carry. I’m not going to be able to get away from primetime Bijan Robinson as my main CPT/MVP and will be overweight compared to the field. I’m looking to spread out ownership among the low-level pass catchers who project poorly and hope one of them gets into the end zone on a long play that pushes them near optimal.

ncorfield8k: This is a great stars-and-scrubs slate. Bijan Robinson will be in most of my lineups, as this was already a great matchup and the Saints will be without three and possibly four members of their front 7. Noah Fant’s status will have some impact on how I value the scrubs, but there are several that will be pretty good either way, including Bryce Lance and Jahan Dotson.

Davis Mattek: I love slates like this, where there is a plethora of secondary options to use. Teams like the Bengals or Lions, where only 5 guys play on offense, are so annoying. Rotating between Oscar Delp, Zachariah Branch, Bryce Lance, Kendre Miller, and Austin Hooper sounds like a great way to spend my Monday night.

What’s one rule/setting that you’re going to use in our NFL DFS optimizer (LineupHQ) or NFL DFS sims tool (SimLabs)?
