NFL DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Sunday Night Football Picks
DraftKings
Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?
Notorious: Kenneth Walker III, Jonathan Taylor, Patrick Mahomes
ncorfield8k: Kenneth Walker III, Patrick Mahomes, Tyler Warren
Davis Mattek: Kenneth Walker III, Patrick Mahomes, Jonathan Taylor
Bobby Gomes: Kenneth Walker III, Jonathan Taylor, Patrick Mahomes
What is the most pivotal correlation (or individual player) when it comes to your portfolio of lineups?
Notorious: The most pivotal correlation for me is Kenneth Walker III, Harrison Butker, and the Chiefs D/ST. Ideally, Kansas City will build a lead early and then lean on their running game. This will make the Colts turn to a pass-heavier game plan (good for the Chiefs’ defense), and the Chiefs will be more willing to settle for field goals if they are playing with a lead.
ncorfield8k: Chiefs running backs and Chiefs defense. I’ll build some lineups as though the Chiefs can run back what they did last week. I’m a believer in Spags, and I think the Chiefs adjust well to their personnel. Chiefs running backs looked like a big strength last week.
Davis Mattek: Tyquan Thornton over all the cheaper Colts pieces, D/STs, and kickers. Thornton had a full-time route share and leads the Chiefs in aDOT over the last 2 seasons. Mahomes has been SO BAD on the deep ball for the last 3 years, but Thornton can legitimately break the slate on 1 target, and he will have his chance in this game.
Bobby Gomes: Patrick Mahomes to Rashee Rice, then one more Chief behind it. I believe that if KC gets to 27, that’s 3 touchdowns in the air, and the third one isn’t Kelce — it’s Worthy or Thornton.
What’s one rule/setting that you’re going to use in our NFL DFS optimizer (LineupHQ) or NFL DFS sims tool (SimLabs)?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
