NFL DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey: Thursday Night Football Picks

DraftKings

Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?

Notorious: Jaylen Warren, Deshaun Watson, Harold Fannin Jr.
headChopper: Jaylen Warren, Quinshon Judkins, DK Metcalf
ncorfield8k: Jaylen Warren, Quinshon Judkins, KC Concepcion
Davis Mattek: Jaylen Warren, Harold Fannin Jr., Steelers D/ST

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I’m going all in on Jaylen Warren at the multiplier position. He played on 90% of the snaps and turned 20 touches into 173 yards from scrimmage last week with Rico Dowdle out. The Browns aren’t an elite matchup, but their defense isn’t as good as it was last season. Warren gets all of the high-value touches in this backfield, so it’s hard to envision a bad game. While I like both quarterbacks, I want no part of Aaron Rodgers at MVP/CPT. My biggest fades will be on the outside receivers for the Steelers (DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr.).

headChopper: I’m leaning into a defensive game script, where both defenses are valuable along with one of the kickers and the running backs. I also like the tight ends in that game script, and that’s how I am building a large segment of my lineups.

ncorfield8k: This is expected to be a slow, low-scoring game. Generally, that makes me like players who are live to score a touchdown at low pOWN% because it’s easier to outscore teammates with better usage when those teammates are still not getting enough receptions to separate. Jerry Jeudy stands out, but I also like players like Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth. And the defenses stand out, especially the Steelers defense, as Deshaun Watson has 6 turnover-worthy plays already this season, per PFF, and the Steelers already have 6 takeaways.

Davis Mattek: An AFC North Thursday night game means everyone will want to play the kickers and D/STs. I will be taking loads of shots on Isaiah Bond, Eli Heidenreich, Germie Bernard, Blake Whiteheart, etc. Anytime both D/STs in a game are going to be above 25%, I want to get further into the playable offensive guys.

What’s one rule/setting that you’re going to use in our NFL DFS optimizer (LineupHQ) or NFL DFS sims tool (SimLabs)?
