NFL DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey (Afternoon Slate): Week 2 Picks

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Jayden Daniels
Stevietpfl: Jaxon Smith-Njigba
TJ Zwarych: Jaxon Smith-Njigba

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I am stacking the Washington-Dallas game to the fullest. I think several teams are viable for big stacks, but there is no game environment for both teams like the one in Dallas. I’ll probably have minimal San Francisco exposure because I think blowout factors along with aging players could mean more playing time for the young guys, but not enough to roster them. Seattle-Arizona looks like a defensive environment, so I’ll be underweight there as well. I might just have half my lineups with CeeDee Lamb and the other half with George Pickens, as I think one of them goes nuclear.

Stevietpfl: Most of my lineups will be focused on the WAS/DAL game. With that said, I like the SEA/ARI and LVR/LAC games as well. I think Brock Purdy is a great tournament pivot off Dak Prescott. I want to correlate my lineups as much as possible, and I think the afternoon slate is strong this week. While I think WAS/DAL has the upside to be the highest-scoring game, I wouldn’t be shocked if any of these games turns into a shootout.

TJ Zwarych: I’m just going to play one lineup in single-entry contests, and I’m going to try to jam in Jaxon Smith-Njigba with as many players from the WAS/DAL game as possible. It’s tough, but I actually think it’s doable to play JSN, Lamb, and Pickens all together in the same lineup, and that’s my plan.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
