Happy Week 8!

I hope everyone is having a great week. If you are reading this before Saturday, I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween. If you are reading this on Sunday, I hope your Halloween was the best one yet.

I love the way the Week 8 slate is shaping up. There are some stackable games and some major decision points. The expensive running backs aren’t in elite spots, and some of the expensive receivers are playing as large favorites. We don’t have any clear standout values, and ownership seems more spread out than usual.

If the Tournament Takes show with Beer, Kirk, and me isn’t already a part of your weekly routine, we’d love for you to check us out. We go live on Saturday at 3:00 PM ET, and the show will eventually make its way into the RotoGrinders podcast feed.

NFL DFS Top Picks & Plays: Noto’s Key Personnel for Week 8

As always, the table below will be updated through lineup lock. This is where I will post any updates to the Core Plays, Strong Plays, and Sprinkle Plays.

Top Quarterback Plays

Tier 1 – Core Plays

Prescott of the Cowboys

One of the most profitable strategies at quarterback this season has been picking on the Cardinals. They are 31st in EPA allowed per dropback and 30th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. The Cowboys have been so bad that they are only 6.5-point favorites at home. If this game stays competitive, Dak Prescott ($8,000 FD / $6,300 DK) should have a monster fantasy outing. His expected fantasy points per game of 21.1 is one of the highest of any quarterback on the slate. He’s easy to stack with too, as CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have a combined 50% target share and 71% air yards share.

Josh Allen ($9,400 FD / $7,700 DK) has the highest floor/ceiling combo of any player in fantasy football. He’s scored at least 18 fantasy points in every game this season. More importantly, he’s topped 34 fantasy points in 3 of those games. When he has a ceiling performance, he typically doesn’t garner more than 10% ownership. With Lamar Jackson tentatively expected back this week, this game has serious shootout potential. The Ravens have allowed the 10th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

Tier 2 – Strong Plays
