What is your favorite game-script build and why?

Notorious: This is more of a roster construction thought than a certain game script, but due to the injuries on the Giants, there are a ton of values. I like the idea of spending up on the Bengals pieces and spending down on the Giants pieces.

ncorfield8k: This game could be a shootout, and I like playing it that way. That’s not the most contrarian script to build for, but with the salaries of Giants players, there are ways to build for shootouts with 4-2 or even 5-1 Giants builds, which should be fairly contrarian. Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, Theo Johnson, and others on the Giants allow for one or two of the more expensive Bengals.

Davis Mattek: The Bengals are 1-4 and have the worst defense in the NFL. Daniel Jones is somehow top 10 in the NFL in EPA + CPOE composite, even without Malik Nabers. I think this game plays a little tighter than the line suggests, and both teams run more than we are projecting. That leads me into more Zack Moss, Chase Brown, and Tyrone Tracy than the field.

Bobby Gomes: The Bengals have allowed 29 points per game, which is the 2nd most in the league, and the Giants have been able to thrive against poor defenses. However, Joe Burrow and the Bengals are 2nd in the league in offensive efficiency and top 6 in scoring. Daniel Jones is playing well, and without Malik Nabers, we should see Darius Slayton and WanDale Robinson become beneficiaries again at a reasonable cost. Tyrone Tracy should also see close to 20 touches with Devin Singletary out. My builds will be balanced, as I anticipate a moderately close and high-scoring game.

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
