What is your favorite game-script build and why?

squirrelpatrol: The Dolphins have all of the name value here, but the Patriots are playing at home and are only 2-point underdogs. Tyreek Hill and/or Jaylen Waddle can absolutely have huge games, but I don’t mind building for a game script where Mac Jones and some of his nearly anonymous pass catchers play well enough to keep this game close.

Notorious: The Patriots got off to a strange start in Week 1. They were down two scores early and were forced to air it out 56 times. While we can expect a much quicker tempo with Bill O’Brien calling plays, I think we see a bigger emphasis on the ground game this week. The Chargers running backs had over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns against Miami in Week 1. I like building lineups with Rhamondre Stevenson and then loading up on the Dolphins passing attack.

Krayton: With a 46.5 total and just a 2.5 spread, I think we see Tua Tagovailoa once again relying heavily on the passing game, with Tyreek Hill having a huge game. But I also like getting exposure to Jaylen Waddle, who I think will see more than the 5 targets he had in Week 1. I do think the Patriots will be looking to get the running game going early, and I see Rhamondre Stevenson having a big game. Rhamondre will be a core piece for me on the NE side, but I also will be very overweight on Tyreek, as he is my favorite CPT / MVP.

TJ Zwarych: The Dolphins passing game is very concentrated, and I’m expecting a fast-paced, high-scoring game with lots of airing it out. Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle will be my main priorities, as I think it’ll be a big day through the air for them. I’ll run it back with some Patriots pass catchers assuming they’re playing from behind.

Which players will you restrict from appearing together often due to possible negative correlation?

squirrelpatrol: I don’t expect either team to focus on the running game enough to make multiple RBs feasible, so I will limit my lineups to one RB per team.

Notorious: Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki – The Patriots like to use two tight ends, and I’m a fan of both players individually, but I have a tough time seeing them both put up big performances in the same game.

Krayton: Even though the Patriots are a little bit of a wild card when it comes to RB usage, I am still looking to use just one of Rhamondre Stevenson or Ezekiel Elliott in my builds, with an overweight stance on Rhamondre.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll only play one of Rhamondre Stevenson or Ezekiel Elliott unless I have a contrarian lineup with the Patriots D as CPT / MVP.

What is your favorite way to differentiate from the field?

squirrelpatrol: I think going overweight on Mac Jones, pairing him with some of his lower-owned pass catchers, and including at least one of Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle is a feasible and low-owned build. The Dolphins WRs could both have the kind of huge game that prices Tua Tagovailoa off the optimal lineup.

Notorious: I’m going to be overweight on two players in particular- Rhamondre Stevenson and Mike Gesicki.

Krayton: Even though Tyreek Hill will be popular, I will be locking him in for my MME builds. I will also be overweight on Jaylen Waddle in a spot where I see him getting more involved.

TJ Zwarych: I plan to be significantly overweight on the whole Dolphins passing game, including Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Durham Smythe (to save some salary).

What is an example of one rule you can program into LineupHQ to capitalize on the above strategies?

squirrelpatrol: Player Groups > Use 0 to 1 > Rhamondre Stevenson and Ezekiel Elliott

Notorious: Player Groups > Use 0 to 1 > using Mike Gesicki and Hunter Henry as the players in the group. I am also going to set the Min% of Rhamondre Stevenson to 50%.

Krayton: I will have 100% exposure to Tyreek Hill and will also set the Min% of Jaylen Waddle to 40%.

TJ Zwarych: Player Groups > New Group > Use 1-2 Players in Every Lineup > Add Jaylen Waddle, Jaylen Waddle CPT / MVP, Tyreek Hill, Tyreek Hill CPT / MVP

What is your hottest take for this game?

squirrelpatrol: Mac Jones throws for 3 TDs to different receivers; Tua Tagovailoa throws 3 TDs to the same receiver.

Notorious: Rhamondre Stevenson runs for over 100 yards and scores 2 touchdowns.

Krayton: Tyreek Hill scores 3 touchdowns and has 230 receiving yards.

TJ Zwarych: Tua Tagovailoa throws 4 TDs against the Patriots, 2 to Jaylen Waddle, 1 to Tyreek Hill, and 1 to Durham Smythe.

Predict the final score of the game.

squirrelpatrol: MIA 28 – NE 27

Notorious: MIA 31 – NEP 27

Krayton: MIA 24 – NEP 20

TJ Zwarych: MIA 34 – NEP 27
