Today’s ResultsDB Top DFS Scorers From Last Week

Dalvin Cook

DraftKings Salary: $7,500
FanDuel Salary: $9,200
Yahoo Salary: $37
DraftKings Fantasy Points: 51.6
DraftKings Fantasy Ownership: 10.36%

Let. Dalvin. Cook. Dalvin absolutely went off in Minnesota’s 28-22 upset of the Packers as he racked up 226 total yards en route to three touchdowns. Cook wasn’t totally sneaky but did fly a little bit under the radar coming off an injury as he came in at 10.36% ownership in the Milly Maker. Monster game aside, Cook made for an excellent tournament play as he was a similar price point pivot off the chalky Kareem Hunt who busted. Cook handled 30-of-34 backfield carries for the Vikings and seems to be locked back into a bellcow role assuming he suffers no setbacks to his groin heading into Week 9.

D.K. Metcalf

DraftKings Salary: $7,500
FanDuel Salary: $7,800
Yahoo Salary: $32
DraftKings Fantasy Points: 43.1
DraftKings Ownership: 12.69%

We know that one Seattle WR is likely to have a good game on a weekly basis but good luck predicting which receiver that’s going to be. D.K. Metcalf got the honors this week as he caught 12-of-15 targets for 161-yards and two touchdowns. The strategy regarding Seahawks pass-catchers moving forward may be a bit simplistic but you’re going to want to grab tournament exposure to both Metcalf and Lockett every week Seattle plays. Maybe less obvious is trying to not roster both players in the same lineup as they are now both priced high enough where it’s going to be extremely difficult for them to exceed value in the same game.

Patrick Mahomes

DraftKings Salary: $8,100
FanDuel Salary: $9,200
Yahoo Salary: $36
DraftKings Fantasy Points: 39.64
DraftKings Ownership: 8.73%

Blowouts don’t matter. Okay, they obviously do to some extent, but I do think fantasy players as a whole put way too much weight into potential blowouts. First, just because a game has a large point spread doesn’t mean it’s going to end in a blowout. Second, if a team blows the other team out, it doesn’t mean those players can’t put up big fantasy numbers along the way. That happened to be the case for Patrick Mahomes this week as he tossed 5 touchdowns and racked up 416 passing yards en route to a 35-9 win over the Jets.
