A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. So, who better to walk you through all of the key NFL DFS positions each week? Noto has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and he will mix it up in all different types of contests. In his Key Personnel article for the Week 7 MNF slate, he will walk you through his favorite NFL DFS picks, ways to pivot away from the chalk, and overall strategy for the upcoming featured slate.

We have another 2-game slate on Monday night. This week, the games will be played back-to-back rather than having staggered starts. While I do like the longer sweat, I’ll likely be asleep by the time the second game ends. With a 4-month-old baby girl, very few things will keep me up past 10:30 PM, but an NFL DFS state is one of them. The goal is to have a good enough sweat on this slate that I’m not in bed until one of the quarterbacks in the second game lines up in victory formation.

NFL DFS Top Picks & Plays: Noto’s Key Personnel for Week 7 – Monday Night Football

This is one of those slates where you have to decide which superstars you want to prioritize. The main slate didn’t have many superstars to choose from, but this 2-game slate on Monday night is full of elite spends. We don’t have a ton of value available at the moment, but there are a couple of injuries that could help on that front. Top Quarterback Plays

Tier 1 – Core Plays

Jared Goff ($6,000 DK / $8,000 FD) has been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL this season. He’s always been tremendous at home, tremendous indoors, and tremendous when not under pressure. He should have all of those in his favor on Monday night, as the Lions host the Buccaneers, who are 20th in EPA per dropback allowed and 24th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. The matchup gets even better when you see how good Tampa Bay has been against the run (1st in EPA). Goff has thrown for multiple touchdowns in 4 of his last 5 games and is my favorite quarterback target on this slate.

Tier 2 – Sprinkle Plays

It doesn’t seem to matter which wide receivers suit up for the Buccaneers, as Baker Mayfield ($6,600 DK / $8,500 FD) always seems to outperform expectations. It’s wild to think he’s gone from being considered one of the biggest draft busts to being one of the best quarterbacks in the league. And in the process, he’s won over the hearts of NFL fans all over the country. We’ll see which receivers can play in this game, but I like Mayfield regardless. He offers passing and rushing upside in a game where the Buccaneers will likely be trailing. The Lions have good advanced metrics against the pass, but they have allowed the 9th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Do you remember when Sam Darnold ($5,400 DK / $7,500 FD) was seeing ghosts when he was with the Jets? That feels like a lifetime ago. He had a great season with the Vikings last year and is now having an even better season with the Seahawks. He’s been one of the most efficient and effective quarterbacks in the league through the first 6 weeks of the season. The concern here is two-fold: The Texans have allowed the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, and the Seahawks have the highest rush rate (48%) in the NFL. We’ll need Houston’s offense to show up for Darnold to have a ceiling game.
