A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. So, who better to walk you through all of the key NFL DFS positions each week? Noto has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and he will mix it up in all different types of contests. In his Key Personnel article, he will walk you through his favorite NFL DFS picks, ways to pivot away from the chalk, and overall strategy for the upcoming slate.

Happy Week 9 everyone!

I am coming off of my best DFS week of the season, so I have a little extra pep in my step heading into the weekend. It’s hard to believe that we are officially halfway through the season, but time flies when you are sweating DFS. That’s a common saying, right?

The main slate is rather ugly this week. It is full of bad teams, second and third-string quarterbacks, and low totals. Why the NFL decided to give London the Chiefs-Dolphins game is beyond me, but we’ll have you covered with plenty of content for that exciting showdown slate.

Jalen Hurts: $8,000 DK / $9,000 FD
Lamar Jackson: $8,200 DK / $8,600 FD

My quarterback player pool is typically smaller than most and it will be even smaller than usual this week. I am planning to use a total of two quarterbacks and they just so happen to be the most expensive on the slate. I will let others chase the cheap quarterbacks and will look for my value plays at running back and wide receiver.

Jalen Hurts has been a cheat-code in DFS ever since he started getting starts with the Eagles. He has topped 20 fantasy points in every game but one this season. You can argue that the Cowboys might have the best defense that he’s faced so far, but the Eagles still have the third highest team total on the main slate. I love stacking him with A.J. Brown, who seems to break the slate on a weekly basis at this point.

Lamar Jackson hasn’t been as consistent as Hurts, but he offers similar upside. He has scored at least 29 fantasy points in three games already this season. He wasn’t asked to do much last week against the Cardinals, but we should see a more pass-heavy game plan against the Seahawks, who are 19th in DVOA against the pass and 18th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. You can play Jackson solo or pair him up with Zay Flowers or Mark Andrews.
