NFL PrizePicks: Bengals vs. Ravens Player Predictions for Thursday Night Football

In this space, we’ll look at the PrizePicks board for the Bengals vs. Ravens and try to make some predictions based on projections, trends, and the market.

PrizePicks, one of the best DFS sites for NFL fantasy pick’em, lays out player projections for us, which we stack to create entries that pay real money. They prompt us with a statistical projection for a player, and we get to pick whether or not the player will get More or Less than the number offered. There are hundreds of players from whom to choose, and we only have to make at least two picks to create an entry. Use the PrizePicks promo codeGRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry if you haven’t signed up already!

The Ravens are 6-point favorites over the Bengals, but this game has an electric 53-point total. The Ravens have given up a ton of yardage in the air, and the Bengals are just a generally sloppy team. We can always attack a JaMarr Chase projection on PrizePicks, but the numbers that we need are so high that we probably have to correlate him with Joe Burrow in a cheap single entry or as a low-percentage exposure play out of 8-10 contests. There are 3 other DEMONs I’d prefer to attack, simply because they’re a bit too low for the opportunity.

Chase Brown MORE/LESS 69.5 Rush Yards (DEMON)

The Ravens have been a pass-funnel defense, only surrendering an NFL-best 3.4 yards per carry, on top of their offense being so electric that they’ve been forcing opponents to throw the ball a ton. But there’s something in the RotoGrinders projections saying that this is a good enough play for us to attack on PrizePicks. Projected for 63.9 rush yards by RotoGrinders after getting 27 carries while playing 79.7% of the snaps in their Week 9 blowout over the Raiders tells us that Brown doesn’t need much to break through his DEMON. The path to 70 will be a tough one to sweat, but the path is there, according to our projections.

Diontae Johnson MORE/LESS 39.5 Receiving Yards (DEMON)

The Ravens have a reliable volume receiver in Zay Flowers, but they have been in need of a downfield threat on whom they can depend. The acquisition of Johnson plugs that hole. Johnson has a 9.8 aDOT in 2024 after 12.7 and 10.2 in the previous 2 seasons. This is a guy who can get those intermediate targets that have been lacking in the Ravens’ attack. He only played 29.8% of the snaps in his Ravens debut but should see more action after another half week of getting acclimated. Baltimore just needs him too much right now to ease him in slowly. RotoGrinders only has Johnson projected for 23.4 receiving yards, but there’s a huge range of outcomes here. He can have 15 yards on a single catch or he can get 90 on 6 or 7 catches. The moral of the story is that his PrizePicks projection is too low for his ceiling in a game where his team has a near-30 implied total.

Andrei Iosivas MORE/LESS 24.5 Receiving Yards (DEMON)

As 6-point ‘dogs on the road, the Bengals should be throwing a lot late. With Tee Higgins officially doubtful to play, Iosivas has a floor in the range of 3-4 targets to go with his 12.1 aDOT. The Ravens have given up the 5th-highest aDOT in the NFL (8.5), and there’s a whole mess of volume for Iosivas to cash in on even a lower target share. RotoGrinders has Iosivas projected for 21.4 receiving yards. The danger here is that Iosivas might be the 3rd or 4th receiving option somewhere in a mess with Mike Gesicki and Chase Brown. But he has a shot to be the 2nd or 2A option, as we did see him amass 17 targets over the first 3 weeks of the season.
