After a spicy showdown slate last night with the Bills and Bengals matching up for Sunday Night Football, the primetime game is a little less exciting for Monday Night Football as the Jets vs. Chargers go head-to-head. Despite that, there are some exciting potential PrizePicks predictions we can use to profit.
Each week, I’ll deliver my top NFL PrizePicks predictions for Thursday, Sunday, and Monday Night Football. Use the PrizePicks referral code GRINDERS to receive a $100 deposit match to prep you for the NFL season.
PrizePicks Plays: Jets vs. Chargers
- Austin Ekeler – More Than 30.5 Receiving Yards
- Breece Hall – More Than 19.5 Receiving Yards
- Keenan Allen – More Than 6.5 Receptions
Austin Ekeler – 30.5 Receiving Yards
Regardless of the game script for the Chargers, Ekeler is always heavily involved in the passing game. It seems at this point in his career, the Chargers would rather get Austin Ekeler his touches through screen passes or quick dumps as opposed to running him up the middle, saving that for Joshua Kelley. Ekeler projects for over 40 receiving yards, according to the RotoGrinders projections, and he has gone over 30 receiving yards in all but one game that he’s played this season.
Play: Ekeler – More Than 30.5 Receiving Yards
Breece Hall – 19.5 Receiving Yards
Breece Hall has finally been unleashed and is the only part of the Jets’ offense that has been consistently looking serviceable. He’s explosive and always has had big play ability and now the touches are coming along with the talent. The Jets are slight underdogs in this one, but I don’t trust them to be playing ahead regardless, and I’m more on the Chargers’ side of this one. With that in mind, I’d much rather target Breece Hall for his receiving ability out of the backfield, as opposed to wracking up rushing yards. Hall has a better than 65% success rate in achieving more than 19.5 receiving yards according to the RotoGrinders NFL Fantasy Pick’em Tool for PrizePicks.
Play: Hall – More Than 19.5 Receiving Yards
Keenan Allen – 6.5 Receptions
Keenan Allen is an absolute target machine. While I worry a little that the Chargers could run away with this one and not need Keenan Allen, it’s only a 3-point spread and the Chargers have a bad habit of playing down to their opponents. If this is a close game, this is far too low of a number for Keenan Allen. Through 8 weeks, he’s had only one single game with less than 9 targets and has been one of the most consistent receivers in all of football. The RotoGrinders projections have Allen expected to be right at that 6.5 target mark, but I like him to exceed that given his projected target number is up nearing 10.
