NFL Week 10 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

caleb-williams-800x480

Week 10 in the NFL looks pretty mild, a few games with a chance for rain, one game with some gusty winds.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and, most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 10 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather report.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Thursday Night Football

Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens – Low chance for a raindrop or two, mild temps and light winds.

Sunday Morning International Game in Germany

New York Giants at Carolina Panthers – Chilly in Munich, with a temp in the 40s, but otherwise fine with no rain or winds of note.

Sunday Main Slate

New England Patriots @ Chicago Bears – Winds sustained 15-20mph, gusts 25-30mph. There is just enough wind where a few longer throws or kicks could be impacted. I won’t rule out some light rain either, though at the current time I’m not expecting it.

Pittsburg Steelers @ Washington Commanders – Scattered showers are possible. As of now, it doesn’t look like a washout.

Sunday Night Football

Detroit Lions @ Houston Texans – The game is indoors, no concerns.

Monday Night Football

Miami Dolphins @ Los Angeles Rams – Roof here, no weather concerns.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

I’m closely watching Chicago to see if the wind forecast increases a bit from where it stands. If we see those sustained winds reach or top 20 mph and see gusts over 30 mph, I would be more inclined to bench kickers and QBs for fantasy purposes (and bet unders). Right now, I’m only expecting minor impacts, but it’s worth watching. Similarly, I’m not too concerned about rain chances in D.C., but the Commanders game will need to be monitored, and I’ll update it.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff: @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
