NFL Week 12 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

A couple of our Sunday games will be played in the rain.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 12 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high-wind games, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Sunday Main Slate

Pittsburg Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals – I expect a steady moderate rainfall for most of the game. The ball and field could get quite slick as the game goes on, and the passing attack for both teams will be impacted. The 10mph winds and temperature around 40 degrees shouldn’t impact scoring, but does make for a pretty ugly day when combined with the rain.

Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans – Just a chance for a brief spotty shower, most of this game will be dry and the rain that we do see will be light.

Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles – Scattered off and on rain for most of the game, at times it could be fairly heavy (especially late-game). With light winds it’s not crippling to offenses, but I do consider it a bump down to the passing attack for both teams.

Sunday Night Football

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Chargers – Played indoors.

Monday Night Football

Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings – Played indoors.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

Both the Tennessee and Philly games will see rain, but in both games the winds will remain relatively light. I do expect we’ll see some impact though, as any time we’re dealing with rain it makes it tougher (though not at all impossible) to connect on even a simple passing route.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar gifs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff, @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
