NFL Week 13 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

Bills quarterback Allen

Week 13 in the NFL brings us the coldest weather we’ve seen yet, with multiple games going to be played at sub-freezing temperatures.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and, most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 13 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather report.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Thanksgiving Day Games

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions – Game indoors, no issues.

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys – Game indoors, no issues.

Miami Dolphins @ Green Bay Packers – Temp in the upper-20s with a 5-10 mph wind putting the feels-like temperature down to around 20 degrees. Minor bump down to offenses, but cold weather is not a significant impact maker.

Friday, November 29th

Las Vegas Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs – Cold but otherwise fine. One of many games this week with a temp in the 30s and light winds.

Sunday Main Slate, December 1st

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals – Temp a hair below freezing, with 5-10 mph winds putting the feels-like temps in the 20s.

Sunday Night Football

San Francisco 49ers @ Buffalo Bills – Winter Weather Advisory in effect. Temp in the upper-20s with a 10 mph wind putting feels-like temperatures in the teens or low-20s. While sustained winds don’t look overpowering, we could mix in a few gusts around 20-25 mph. Most notable is the chance of snow, which as of now looks like snow showers, but we’ll need to be on watch for any heavier snow potential.

Monday Night Football, December 2nd

Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos – Temp in the 30s with light winds. Cold but otherwise fine.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

I don’t consider cold weather a major downgrade, so any games with temps in the 30s or below is just a slight bump down to kicking and passing. The Bills game is the most interesting spot of the week, but some clickbait “forecasts” about a full-on Snow-mageddon game are likely overblown. I expect relatively light winds and manageable snow, which would only be a minor impact.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff: @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
