NFL Week 15 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

tua-tagovailoa-800x480

Week 15 should be another busy one, with wind and rain concerns in a handful of games.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and, most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 15 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high-wind games, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Saturday Slate

Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals – Dry, mild temp, winds under 10 mph, no concerns.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts – Game indoors.

Denver Broncos at Detroit Lions – Game indoors.

Sunday Main Slate

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers – Rain looks very likely in what could be the worst weather of the week. We also get winds around 15mh sustained with gusts to 25mph. Nasty 1-2 punch of rain and wind likely here.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins – Dry and breezy. Wind 15-20mph sustained, gusts 30mph.

Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns – Scattered showers. Winds 10-15mph with gusts around 20mph.

Dallas Cowboys at Buffalo Bills – Pretty good shot for rain here, though winds will be tapering off somewhat by gametime. Average winds might be around 10-15mph, but could be even less than that by the 2nd half.

Sunday Night Football

Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars – The same winds that will impact Miami will be sticking around Sunday Night in Jacksonville, though to a slightly lesser extent. There’s a chance for rain with sustained winds of 15-20 mph, gusting to 25 mph.

Monday Night Football

Philadelphia Eagles at Seattle Seahawks – Scattered showers in the general area. Winds remain light, and temperatures are mild, but off-and-on showers are possible.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

Quiet a few games to watch for with both rain games and some wind issues at play. I think the biggest impact may come in Carolina, which looks to be the game where we are most likely to see both rain and winds impacting the game.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar gifs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff, @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
