NFL Week 16 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

Week 16 is a wild one, with games spread out over Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Merry Christmas to us!), and it’s also another week where weather likely plays a role.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and, most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 16 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high-wind games, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Sunday

Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears – Low chance of a shower or two, mild temps and light winds. Not expecting any real impact.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos – Temps in the 20s with a 10-15mph wind putting “feels-like” temps in the teens. Not ideal, but not particularly impactful either.

Monday

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs – A chance for showers, though latest forecast models dry out the rain before kickoff.

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles – Dry, mild temps, light winds.

Baltimore Ravens at San Francisco 49ers – Good stuff for Monday Night Football, dry with light winds and mild temps.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

No one game really stands out as a huge problem, mostly because there are no games flashing any high wind potential. I don’t see any games as a spot where we have a weather-related betting edge or should be considering weather for fantasy sports purposes.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar gifs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff, @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
