NFL Week 17 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

josh-allen-800x480

Week 17 is mostly focusing on 2 games with rain/snow potential ,Buffalo and Chicago.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and, most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 17 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high-wind games, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Saturday

Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys – Game indoors.

Sunday

Atlanta Falcons at Chicago Bears – Pretty good chance we’ll see at least some snow here, along with winds in the 10-15mph range.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Seattle Seahawks – A chance for a spotty shower, but with light winds I’m not expecting any issues.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills – Temps will be near freezing, and there’s a chance for some rain or snow as well. Thankfully winds look light, limiting the impact weather will have regardless of the form of precipitation.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

The two main games I’m watching are the Bears game and the Bills game, maybe the two most likely spots where you’d expect to see some trouble this time of year. Neither game looks like a major wind threat, which minimizes the overall impact, but we’ll need to monitor snow chances as we get closer to kickoff.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar gifs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff, @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
