NFL Week 2 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

trevor-lawrence-800x480

Another week with mostly quiet weather, as we’ve got just a few games with a “chance” for rain.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 2 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Sunday Main Slate

Los Angeles Chargers at Carolina Panthers – Winds around 10-15 mph; a chance for a few showers.

New York Jets at Tennessee Titans – Scattered showers are possible.

Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars – Typical Florida afternoon storms. Sometimes they end up over the stadium, sometimes they don’t, and we won’t really know until right before kickoff.

Sunday Night Football

Chicago Bears at Houston Texans – Game indoors…no issues.

Monday Night Football

Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles – Great weather with light winds, mild temps, and no precip.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

Nothing that jumps off the page here. I currently have made zero weather bets and likely won’t make any unless I’m certain a downpour is coming in Jacksonville (as of now, I’m not). Similarly, there’s nothing here to fear fantasy-wise, so play your dudes.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff: @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
