NFL Week 5 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

lamar-jackson-800x480

Week 5 looks a bit busier than last week in the weather department, mostly with a few games that could see borderline breezy/windy conditions, nothing that stands out as a major problem.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 5 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high-wind games, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Sunday Main Slate

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills- Played in London, the weather looks good. Dry with 10mph winds and mild temps.

New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots- A bit on the breezy side, but not overpowering winds. 10-15mph sustained with gusts 20-25mph.

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers- Likely the windiest game of the week, winds 15mph sustained with gusts 25-30mph. Even then it’s only impactful on very deep throws or long kicks, not a consistent game-changer.

Sunday Night Football

Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers – Winds 10-15mph early, dropping off late.
h3=. Monday Night Football

Green Bay Packers at Las Vegas Raiders – They’ve got a roof, no issues.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

We’ve got two games I’ll be watching, the game in New England and the one in Pittsburgh. As of now, I think the winds in both games looks manageable, and won’t cause any major issues. I don’t think it’s worth making bets or fading players based on potential weather impacts.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar gifs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff, @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
