NFL Week 7 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

terry-mclaurin-800x480

Week 7 will, for the most part, be played without any significant weather impacts, but there’s still a few games worth watching.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 7 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high-wind games, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Sunday Main Slate

Washington Commanders at New York Giants- A bit on the breezy side here, but as most of these games are, it’s manageably breezy. Winds sustained 15-20mph with gusts around 25mph.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots- Sustained winds 10-15mph, gusts 25mph.

Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens- Another east coast game with some winds. I’m expecting 15-20mph sustained winds with gusts around 25-30.

Sunday Night Football

Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles – Breezy again on the east coast, but by this evening those winds will start to decrease. I expect winds 10-15mph, gusts around 25 (weakening through the game). Despite the lower sustained winds here, gusts are still somewhat impactful on a longer throw or kick.

Monday Night Football

San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings – They’ve got a roof- no issues.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

The windiest weather comes in New York and Baltimore, but I think for the most part the games will not be significantly impacted. Winds in all the east coast games could make longer throws and kicks difficult, but won’t impact every play.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar gifs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff, @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
