NFL Week 7 Weather Report: Betting and Fantasy Football Impact

trevor-lawrence-800x480

Week 7 in the NFL looks near perfect weather-wise, with the lone exception being in London.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and, most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week.

If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 7 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather page.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Sunday Morning

New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – In London: Our “ugliest” (in quotes because it really doesn’t look too terrible) weather of the week, it looks likely we’ll see some scattered showers and winds around 15 mph. I’ll note that the architecture of the stadium, which is essentially a fully enclosed space except for an open roof, might minimize any impact from the wind but would allow any rain to impact play.

Sunday Main Slate

Houston Texans vs. Green Bay Packers – 10 mph winds. Not enough to matter, but outside of London it’s the strongest winds we’ll see.

Sunday Night Football

New York Jets vs. Pittsburgh Steelers – Mild temps, light winds, no precipitation. All good.

Monday Night Football

Baltimore Ravens vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – No rain issues, and winds look manageable around or under 10mph.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Arizona Cardinals – They have a roof if needed, no worries.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

The London game is the only spot where I would even consider making any weather-related bets or lineup changes, and even then, I’m not fully convinced this is a high-impact spot. We’ll see how the rain looks leading up to kickoff, but I would consider it just a slight bump down to offense if we see the scattered light rain that I’m expecting.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff: @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
