Oakland
- Terrelle Pryor probably got the most favorable two matchups of any QB to start the season. First the Colts and now the Jaguars. I certainly didn’t think he would be on my radar, but his ability to make plays with his feet make him an interesting play. Rating = 6
- Darren McFadden looks healthy, at least for now. He may not be a good play all season, but he is certainly a good play this week against the Jags. Rating = 7
- Rod Streater was Pryor’s favorite target Week 1. He had 5 catches for 70 yards and is still really cheap across the board. Denarius Moore is a deep threat that makes a good GPP play.
- The Raiders TE situation is a bit unclear. I’d rather take a TE that I know will get targets. Rating = 1
Jacksonville
- I’m expecting a much different game from the Jaguars this week, at least on the offensive side of the ball. Gabbert has already been ruled out so Chad Henne will get the start. He is a much better option in the short term for the Jaguars. Henne is dirt cheap and has pretty good upside against this Raiders defense. Rating = 6
- Maurice Jones-Drew my biggest pitfall last week, I will be the first to admit it. I thought that game would be much closer, but the Jags were out of that one early. I would love to recommend him against this Raiders defense, but I’m not going to do it. Rating = 5
- Cecil Shorts should be the biggest benefactor of Henne starting this week. He’s one of my favorite cheap plays this week.
- Keep your eye on the situation, but it looks like Marcedes Lewis will be out again this week. If so, Allen Reisner isn’t a bad minimum salary play. Rating = 4

NY Giants
- The Manning brothers combined for 78 FanDuel fantasy points last week. That’s pretty impressive. Now they get to face each other. Of the two, I think the obvious choice is to roll with Peyton, but Eli could get down early again and be forced to throw it. Rating = 6
- David Wilson was by far the biggest Week 1 disappointment. The Giants say that they will give him another shot though so he can be our wildcard play of the week. He’s cheap that’s for sure. Rating = 5
- Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks are a great duo, but one often outshines the other when they are both healthy. They both had over 100 yards, but Cruz had the 3 TD’s to really separate himself. I like Cruz a bit more this week, but if Nicks is a lot cheaper, he may be better when you take into account salaries.
- Brandon Myers had a nice outing, but a lot of the Giants numbers were inflated because they had to throw it so much to try and catch up. I think he will settle back down to an average TE this week. Rating = 4
Denver
- Peyton Manning had a decent week I suppose. 7 TD’s and 462 yards. I guess I would take that if I were him. Peyton is not going to let his little brother out-do him in this one. Eli already has one more ring than him. I think Peyton has another big game. Even if he does though, he may be too expensive to take. Rating = 9
- The Moreno, Hillman, and Ball combo is not something I want to be a part of this week. Rating = 2
- I was right about last week for the Broncos. Welker received a ton of targets, Thomas caught a long TD, and Decker was the odd man out. He has so many weapons that it’s hard to know which one to take each week.
- Julius Thomas probably received the biggest price boost of the week. He is one more weapon that Manning has at his disposal. Rating = 7

Seattle
- Russell Wilson threw the ball well last week, but only had 7 rushing yards. For them to win this game against the Niners, he is going to have to have a good game all around. He didn’t have great success against the Niners last year and this is one of those situations where the risk may be greater than the reward. Rating = 5
- Marshawn Lynch was bottled up by the Panthers defense and he will likely struggle to find any big holes against the Niners. This has the feel of a defensive battle. Rating = 3
- Wilson found 8 different targets that all had at least 2 catches last week which is good for the Seahawks, bad for fantasy. Plenty of other options out there.
- Zach Miller should have a good season, but the Niners were one of the best teams against TE’s last year. Rating = 3
San Francisco
- Colin Kaepernick put up 30 fantasy points last week, he may be the highest scoring QB at the end of the season. He can do it with his arm and his legs. He does so much that he almost seems like he is matchup-proof. That said, the Seahawks had a fantastic defense last season and playing in Seattle is one of the toughest places in the league. Rating = 7
- Frank Gore had a decent game, but this is really Kaep’s team now. Find a better option with a better matchup this week. Rating = 3
- Think the Ravens are missing Anquan Boldin after he grabbed 13 balls for over 200 yards and a score last week? He looks great in that offense.
- Vernon Davis also had a big week with 2 TD grabs. He’s probably my favorite Niner’s play. Rating = 7

Cincinatti
- The Andy Dalton to A.J. Green combo was big last week. Pittsburgh is a tough defense though. In two games against the Steelers last season, he averaged less than 200 yards per game and threw 3 picks while only throwing 1 TD. Rating = 4
- I wasn’t a big fan of taking Benjarvus Green-Ellis last season and now he has to split time with Giovani Bernard. I’m steering clear of both. Rating = 2
- A.J. Green has to always be considered in GPP’s, but I’m not sold on his value in H2H’s or 50/50’s.
- Jermaine Gresham and Tyler Eifert are going to be splitting catches for now. In a matchup like this, I don’t think either is a great play. Rating = 4
Pittsburgh
- Could the Steelers have looked any worse last week? Lowest yardage total since 2010. And not only that, but they came out of the game limping, losing 4 players to season-ending injuries. It’s not a great time for Steelers’ fans. Bengals defense is tough, I’m not sold on Ben Roethlisberger this week. Rating = 3
- Isaac Redman gets the start again after his terrible Week 1 performance. He has an even tougher matchup this week. Rating = 3
- If there is one Steelers player that I do like this week it is Emmanuel Sanders. He was basically the only guy to show up offensively last week.
