NFL WR/CB Matchup Analysis: Week 12 (Thanksgiving)
One of the keys to NFL DFS success is locating the highest upside at the wide receiver position. Which wideouts have the easiest matchups against the opposing secondaries? Which receivers will fly under the radar and make the difference in large-field tournaments? Each week this NFL season, ChrisGimino will explore his favorite WR plays on the slate, with the sort of insight and knowledge that only he can provide!

Vikings vs. Lions
Minnesota Vikings
Best Matchup(s): Adam Thielen
Neutral: Stefon Diggs
Downgrade: Laquon Treadwell
The numbers don’t tell an amazing story against Quandre Diggs, but Thielen has been such an efficient target that it’s difficult to avoid on a three-game slate. This is perhaps lazy analysis, but just watch him dust the Rams secondary in this clip at the minute and 40-second mark. The play-making ability is a massive contributor to his slate high .51 fpts per route and he happens to run the second highest rate of routes per game on this slate. Quandre Diggs may be doing well this season, but let’s not forget his 2016 Player Profiler coverage rating of -.91. That was one of the very worst marks in football, and I will continue to view this matchup as an upgrade for Thielen despite a mediocre fantasy outing in Week 4.
