What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – On a relatively small 5-game slate, I will be more likely to stack a goalie with some skaters to try to lock up a goalie win and gamble that he will get enough saves to win me a GPP. Also, there are some teams with a lot to play for and some with little to play for, so news from those teams with playoff spots locked up, like the Sens, Lightning, and Devils, may pull a fast one on us. It wouldn’t shock me to see a Lightning star or someone else get rested tonight, so pay attention to the news.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – With several teams jockeying for playoff position, I’m expecting most of these games to play tighter than expected. Edmonton is my top option to target with a matchup against the lowly Sharks, and Tampa Bay’s power play has potential against Detroit if you have the salary to pay up for them.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
